One day a young woman, drowned in a lake by the hand of her very own friends, who lived in the same village as her since they were born. She was blamed to be a witch. Everyone believed it, because some watched her talk to the animals in the forest around their village... They knoked her out and brought her to the lake at night...

She was confused when she woke up. She wasn't alive any more, was she? They did something to her. They betrayed her. They KILLED her! Why?!

As cold wrath flooded her, she began to change. Her teeth grew spiky like the one of a wild animal and her eyes duplicated until there was nothing other left than some furious monter that wanted to satisfy one's desire for revenge.

Once it sat one of his clawes on the lakeshore and moved out to kill there was nothing to stop it.

One day one of her old friends, who had regrets about what he had done to the woman that night, paid her a visit. She rised out of the water and screamed at him in a high-pithced voice as soon as he approached the lakeside. Her glowing eyes fixed him. She was ready to attack the man, when he calmly pulled out a small picture frame and placed it in front of her.

She was stunned. Slowly she backed away and watched in silence. Never did someone come here on his own and altogether in such a calm manner.

He lit two candles and placed flowers around the little shrine he built. The paperbag was placed in front of it as an offering.
Then, he looked at her full of grief and said: "Please stop it. Don't come back anymore. I understand, that you won't forgive me or the other older villagers but... you must not kill the innocent! I beg you, don't be mad anymore, Nina." The beast wanted to roar again, but all of a sudden it paused. Everything was silent for a long periode of time. He came here to honestly appologise to her? Not because he did't want to be killed, but to protect?

The man stared in shock when it suddenly lowered its head and closed its eyes. That was the time when he noticed the golden human looking mask on its forehead moved.

She smiled at him.

The witch wispered with a gentle and warm voice. "...we would love to... but... we are... still so hungry!" The last words were distorted and ended again in a disturbing loud scream, that echoed through the forest.

The mans legs gave in. Now his fear took finaly over as the monsters eyes opened again. It slashed at his head but he stumled. The claw missed.

As fast as he could he broke into a sprint. He was certain she would run after him... she didn't. She just stared with a painfull expression on her human face.

...

"Still... still... hungry..."

...

The man never returned to her, but 'til that day the village people bring offerings right to the lakeshore so they will be protected from the fury of Nina... the young woman, that was claimed to be a witch...

...and in the end became one.
